These concepts are realized through the implementation of an innovative set of algorithms that define the heart and its comprising parts in a single operation. The advanced anatomical knowledge-based segmentation algorithms begin automatically without user interaction, and take less than a minute to complete.
CardioCt includes a plaque package consistsing of a toolset that defines, measures, views and classifies plaque sites along the coronary vessels. The package automatically identifies suspicious plaque and stenosis sites, and then classifies the plaques through a proprietary algorithm.
The analysis information collected by CardioCt can be used by AngioCt in the cathlab, by correlating the CT data set with the real-time angiogram image. This empowers the cardiologist to "see" beyond the lumen during the catheterization process.
