Live Cases Transmission of AngioCt at EuroPCR 2008

Barcelona, Spain, May 6th, 2008 – AngioCt was used in 2 catheterization procedures that were transmitted live from the Thoraxcenter at the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam.

During the transmission hosted by Prof. Patrick Serruys, Dr. Robert-Jan M. van Geuns and Dr. Steve Ramcharitar preformed 2 procedures on patients suffering from severe stenosis. In the first case, AngioCt was used to overlay CT information over X-ray, in order to help navigating via a graft to a totally occluded Ramus. Once reached the occluded segment, Dr. Van Geuns used AngioCt's CT overlay in order to measure the stenosis length and diameter, and compared it to IVUS measurements.

In the second case, a stent was placed in the LAD near the bifurcation with the diagonal, to open a major stenosis. AngioCt was used to assess the plaque characteristics, size and distribution, and to decide on stent location and dimensions
