Understanding the Image

About Us

Shina Systems develops and markets clinical image management and analysis application software. The company has gained market leadership through its proprietary, automated image segmentation tools and intuitive, clinician-friendly application workflow. Clinically effective and technologically distinguished, Shina's software is installed in thousands of clinical sites worldwide, either under its own branding, or under the branding of its OEM partners.

Company History

Launched in 1993 to develop software for medical imaging OEM clients, Shina released its first independent advanced (3D/4D) visualization (AV) product to the market in 2003. CardioCT, the market’s first automated cardiac CT analysis application, was subsequently licensed to Philips’ CT division.

In 2006, Shina introduced AngioCT, the world’s first software application for Cardiac CT and coronary angiography co-registration and percutaneous aortic valve replacement (PAVR) planning and assistance.

In 2008, Shina started R&D efforts to develop its next-generation 3Di solution, a new advanced medical image management and visualization solution aimed at imaging centers, teleradiology centers and hospitals around the world. The 3Di platform is now available in cloud-based, client-server and stand-alone workstation deployments allowing clinicians, healthcare providers, and patients to access 2D/3D medical imaging from anywhere, whether for clinical analysis of an imaging study or viewing images intuitively in a personal health record.

Apart from developing its own products, Shina continues to develop software for medical imaging OEM partners.
